Margherita Fontana, DDS, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences, and Endodontics at University of Michigan (U-M) School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor. She is co-director of cariology I and II courses, and cariology discipline co-coordinator. As a principal investigator, Fontana has received research grants from the National Institutes of Health, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Delta Dental Fund, and private industry.
