Dimensions Welcomes New Experts to its Online ‘Ask the Expert’ Forum

Michael W. Roberts, DDS, MScD
Michael W. Roberts, DDS, MScD, is Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s new expert on pediatrics.

Dimensions of Dental Hygiene is pleased to announce the addition of two new experts to its online “Ask the Expert” forum. Michael W. Roberts, DDS, MScD, will serve as the journal’s expert on pediatrics, answering questions submitted by readers on any aspect regarding the care of children from infant to age 18. He is a Henson Distinguished Professor in the Division of Pediatric and Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. Roberts has published more than 125 papers in professional journals and contributed to several dental text and reference books. His research interests include oral effects and management of eating disorders and the use of lasers in dentistry. He is a member of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s Peer Review Panel.

Erin Relich, RDH, BSDH, MSA
Erin Relich, RDH, BSDH, MSA, is Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s new expert on fluoride.

Erin Relich, RDH, BSDH, MSA, will now serve as Dimensions’ expert on fluoride, providing thoughtful responses to any questions about the use of fluoride in dental hygiene and dental care. She is an associate professor in the Division of Dental Hygiene at Detroit Mercy Dental in Michigan, where she serves as the dental hygiene clinical coordinator. She is a contributing co-author of the fluorides chapter in the 12th edition of Wilkins’ Clinical Practice of the Dental Hygienist and the contributing author of the fluorides chapter in the upcoming 13th edition of the Clinical Practice of the Dental Hygienist. Relich also teaches continuing dental education courses in the areas of oral health products and preventive interventions. Don’t miss her Guest Editorial, co-written with Sandra K. Sutton, RDH, BS,  on the association between fluoride and kidney-liver function on page 10 of this issue.
