The Holiday Season Is Made Brighter for Less Fortunate Families Through Henry Schein’s Eleventh Annual Holiday Cheer Program
MELVILLE, N.Y.– Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), the largest distributor of health care products and services to office-based practitioners, brightened the holiday season for nearly 1,000 children and their families this year through the Company’s Holiday Cheer program. Founded in 1999, Henry Schein’s Holiday Cheer program is a flagship initiative of the Company’s global social responsibility program, Henry Schein Cares.
As part of the Holiday Cheer, individual children are sponsored by Team Schein Members, who contribute their own time and money to ensure that each child’s holiday wishes come true. Clothing, toys, games, and other gifts were presented to participating children and their families at special holiday celebration events held at many Henry Schein locations around the world. Many festivities included a holiday dinner, entertainment, candy and popcorn machines, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and much more.
Henry Schein partnered with various local social service organizations to help identify families in need. In New York, worldwide headquarters for Henry Schein, the Company worked with MercyFirst, Madonna Heights, Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club, Nassau County Department of Social Services, Mpowering Kids, Family Service League; and Family and Children’s Association.
