CHICAGO (January 2006) – Sunstar Butler, inventors of interdental oral care products, have now reinvented this category with the completely redesigned GUM® Dual End Snap>Ons interdental cleaning system. Featuring a Dual End Proxabrush® Snap>Ons system and a Dual End Sulcus Snap>Ons system, each starter kit contains a cushion grip latex-free handle and pre-loaded antibacterial refills. Sunstar Butler provides the only inderdental brush product with a dual end handle.
Research indicates that bacteria lingering between teeth and oral appliances can lead to gingivitis, an early form of periodontal disease, and may be linked to more serious conditions like heart disease and stroke. The new GUM® Dual End Snap>Ons interdental cleaning system makes it easier for those with special oral needs to keep their mouth plaque-free, reducing the risk of gingivitis.
Despite the high incidence of Americans who brush their teeth, 75 percent of adults over age 35 will develop some form of gum disease at some time in their life1. Why? Brushing alone is not enough. In fact, brushing alone removes only up to 50 percent of plaque in your mouth.
The GUM® Dual End Proxabrush® Snap>Ons interdental cleaning system is ideal for people who need extra help reaching spaces between teeth or around bridges, implants or for patients with galvanic sensitivity. They also make oral health easier for people with orthodontic appliances (braces).
The GUM® Dual End Sulcus Snap>Ons system features soft bristles that gently and effectively clean along the gumline to reduce plaque and help fight gum disease. This product massages the gums interproximally and along the gingival margin help stop bleeding. It is ideal for patients who have had periodontal surgery, periodontal pockets, crows, bridges, implants or orthodontic appliances.
This new Dual End Snap>Ons features the easiest loading system available. Just snap the refill into the handle and it’s ready to use. Easy on … easy off. Antibacterial bristles help the refills stay cleaner between uses, and the new ergonomically designed handle fits comfortably in the hand for easy maneuverability. The dual end handle fits all Proxabrush® Snap>Ons refills and also fits a new Sulcus Brush attachment.
