Lorene G. Kent, RDH, BA, is president of Belmont Publications, Inc. and publisher of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene. In its 20th year of publication, Dimensions was launched shortly after Kent founded Belmont Publications in 2002. Her mission was to create a convenient and concise resource that dental hygiene professionals could use to keep abreast of the latest, evidence-based advances and emerging standards of care. Prior to entering the world of publishing, she was a practicing dental hygienist in general and periodontal settings for 25 years.

As president of Belmont Publications and publisher of Dimensions and the company’s two additional journals—Perspectives on the Midlevel Practitioner and Decisions in Dentistry—Kent’s vision is to provide clinically relevant journals, digital media, and continuing education that raise the bar in professional development. Kent is also an honorary member of Sigma Phi Alpha, the National Dental Hygiene Honor Society, and a member of the Dental Trade Alliance’s Board of Directors.
