The Prophy Aid prophy paste holder attaches to the small suction tube, enabling the user to simultaneously polish the patient’s teeth and use the suction without the worry of dropping the prophy paste.
Use of the holder is said to speed the polishing process, reduce splatter and cross-contamination, create a dry environment while polishing, improve user ergonomics and improves the patient’s comfort (i.e. reducing pooling saliva).
The holder helps eliminate stopping and reaching for the suction during polishing. The holder is reusable and autoclavable.
