Among Older Adults, a Longer Interval Between Pfizer Doses May Increase Antibody Response
New research from the United Kingdom finds that when older adults waited 12 weeks before receiving their second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, the resultant level of antibodies produced was 3.5 times higher than among those who received their second shot at the recommended 21-day mark. The researchers have access to such information because Britain moved to longer intervals between doses in an effort to provide more of its residents with some level of protection. The study included 175 participants and has yet to be peer reviewed. Click here to read more.
