Licensed dental hygienists in the US are invited to participate in a research study that seeks to understand COVID-19-related employment, management, risk, and infection control methods used by dental offices and dental hygienists.
This research study titled, “COVID-19-Related Health and Practices Among Dental Hygienists” is being conducted by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) and the American Dental Association. As a result of this study, two articles were published in The Journal of Dental Hygiene that estimate 3.1% of US dental hygienists have had COVID-19, and that while 8% of dental hygienists have left the workforce since the onset of the pandemic, most did so voluntarily, according to ADHA.
The next deadline to participate in this important research is March 25, 2021. Click here to participate in the study.
