Khrystyna Vyprynyuk, RDH, BS, MHS, is an assistant professor in the Dental Hygiene Department at New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn. She also works as a clinical dental hygienist. Vyprynyuk’s research interests include periodontal instrumentation, oral cancer, provision of dental care to older adults and residents of long-term care facilities, and teaching methodology in dental hygiene education. Catherine Monchik, RDH, BS, MS, is a full-time assistant professor in the Dental Hygiene Unit at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College in the Bronx and an adjunct assistant professor in the dental hygiene department at New York City College of Technology. She has worked in the dental field for more than 26 years and is a licensed dental hygienist working in clinical practice in New York and New Jersey.
