About One-Third of Americans Postpone Dental Care Due to the Pandemic

According to a Time Magazine-Harris Poll taken between February 12 and 17, approximately 30% of Americans have postponed regular dental care due to fear of contracting COVID-19. The data also showed that 78% of Americans had put off at least one medical appointment. For comparison, 27% postponed annual physicals and 25% rescheduled annual eye exams. The survey included more than 1,000 participants. Interestingly, those with less education were more likely to keep their healthcare appointments than those with higher levels of education. The same association was found in regards to income: those with lower incomes were more likely to seek regular healthcare than those with higher incomes. Click here to read more.
