FDA Approves At-Home Dual Flu-COVID-19 Test

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first at-home diagnostic test for both flu and COVID-19 on December 4. The RC COVID-19 +Flu RT-PCR Test is made by Quest Diagnostics and is available by prescription only. Patients with undetermined respiratory illness, whose medical providers have decided it is best for them to stay home, can collect a saliva sample themselves and mail it to Quest for evaluation.
