Melissa Calhoun, BAS-DH, RDH, has been in the dental field since 2000 and a practicing dental hygienist since 2005. She has worked in pediatric, implant, and general dentistry. Calhoun is a military spouse with active licensure in Florida and Maryland. Calhoun is a student in the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Program at Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene, MCPHS University. She is passionate about pediatric dentistry and education. Calhoun resides in Maryland with her husband, David, and their children, Levi and Lucille. Follow her @missyrdh.
Angela Craig, RDH, credits her long dental hygiene career to enthusiasm, and seeking out many opportunities in the field. Craig practices in a general dental office and has worked as a dental educator for the past 2 years with D-Dent, a nonprofit that partners with local dentists to provide dental care for uninsured and low-income senior citizens, adults with disabilities, and veterans. As a dental educator, Craig promotes healthy dental habits and provides oral cancer screenings to senior centers and daily living centers in a seven-county area in Oklahoma. She is a member of the Oklahoma Dental Hygienists’ Association and American Dental Hygienists’ Association and served as a dental hygiene member of the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry for 9 years. Craig works diligently to improve access to care for the populations she serves. Follow her @angela_rdh.
