Young Innovations Announces Acquisition of Medical Products Laboratories’ Professional Dental Contract Manufacturing Division

Algonquin, IL, August 4, 2015 – Young Innovations (“Young”), a leading global manufacturer of dental supplies and equipment, today announced the acquisition of the professional dental contract manufacturing division of Medical Products Laboratories, Inc. (“MPL PDCMD”). MPL PDCMD manufactures fluoride varnish, prophy paste and other materials used in preventive and restorative dental procedures.

“This acquisition marks the continued strategic expansion of our business in attractive, high-growth segments,” said Dave Sproat, CEO of Young, “We expect to continue to grow our relationships with new and existing OEM customers and expand the product offering in our leading preventive and restorative brands.”

MPL PDCMD’s customers will be served by Young’s dedicated OEM business, Bridge2 Dental, or by Young Dental. Manufacturing will ultimately be based at Young’s facility in Earth City, MO. There are no immediate changes to ordering and customer service procedures. Current MPL PDCMD customers and vendors will receive updates directly in the next few days.
