VOTE BY DECEMBER 17 FOR OSAP CONTEST ENTRIES
ANNAPOLIS, MD: December 5, 2007 The Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures (OSAP) has announced that voting will end December 17th for October/November entries in its I See IC Contest for “YouTube” style video clips and still photos that promote infection control in the operatory. Contest participants submitted short video clips or still photos that either captured good infection control procedures in action or offered vivid examples of poor technique. Anyone can vote for a favorite entry at the osap.org website.
To date, entries for the October-November contest include 28 videos and 10 stills. They range from videos that depict bacteria as a visible threat (in one case, as an unwanted dinner guest and in another as an armed thug) to a still photo that mimics the style of a motivational poster. Some are instructive, some comical, but they all are thought-provoking. Entries have been received from across the U.S. as well as Latin America and Canada.
The contest is free and prizes are awarded to the winners. Submissions are being accepted through December 31st. Contest instructions and guidelines are available online. To view past winners, vote on current entries, or enter the contest, go to www.osap.org.
