Traveling Tooth Fairies Bring Healthy Smiles to Kids in Need

Through free dental screenings, fluoride treatments, and education, the Traveling Tooth Fairies are breaking down barriers to oral health for children in Nashua, New Hampshire. With hundreds of students served and thousands of teeth protected, this initiative is making a lasting impact on young smiles and self-confidence.

Every child deserves a bright, healthy smile, but for many, access to dental care and education is limited. That’s where the Traveling Tooth Fairies step in. We founded this nonprofit organization to break down barriers to dental care, fostering positive oral health habits, and ensuring every child feels confident in their smile.

The Traveling Tooth Fairies bring essential dental care directly to schools through free dental screenings, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene supply distribution. This hands-on approach not only delivers care but also empowers children with the tools and knowledge to take control of their oral health.

In a world where dental visits can feel intimidating, the program transforms these experiences into moments of fun, learning, and encouragement. By focusing on education and self-esteem, the Traveling Tooth Fairies lay the groundwork for lifelong healthy habits.

But this is about more than just dental care — it’s a movement. A movement to ensure that every child, regardless of background or socioeconomic status, has the chance to smile with confidence. By addressing gaps in access and education, the Traveling Tooth Fairies are creating healthier, happier children who will carry their newfound knowledge and self-assurance into adulthood.

Traveling Tooth Fairies: Sealing Smiles Across New Hampshire has made remarkable progress in improving children’s dental health in Nashua, New Hampshire. Since the beginning of the 2024/2025 school year, we’ve screened 524 students, sealed 1,419 primary teeth and 1,600 permanent molars, and treated 134 students with active decay. Additionally, we placed 341 protective restorations and referred eight students for urgent care, covering the costs for those in need of immediate attention.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Northeast Delta Dental, our primary financial supporter, for their generous contribution to this dental initiative. We are also deeply appreciative of the collaboration and dedication of the Nashua Public Health Department, the Nashua School District, school nurses, support staff, and everyone who has played a vital role in making this initiative a success!
