Olga A.C. Ibsen, RDH, MS, FAADH, is a world-renowned authority on oral pathology and the co-author of Oral Pathology for the Dental Hygienist, now in its 7th edition. A trusted opinion leader on this subject, she also is an adjunct professor at several universities and a consultant member of the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments. Ibsen is a longtime member of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s Editorial Advisory Board and the 2017 recipient of The Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award.

Pallavi Parashar, BDS, DDS, FAAOM, is an assistant professor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Aurora, Colo. She specializes in restorative and preventive dentistry in addition to diagnosing oral lesions. Parashar’s research interests include oral cancer and identifying the role of human papillomavirus in oral lesions.
