Individuals with HIV/AIDS face persistent barriers accessing health care—particularly dental care. As major providers of dental care in the Ryan White HIV/AIDS dental programs, academic dental institutions play a critical role in serving this population. Yet, in 2013 alone, academic dental institutions were only reimbursed at the rate of 26%, leaving them with more than $32 million in non-reimbursed costs.
Join us for this important webinar to:
-
Explore the financial and administrative challenges of dental program grantees and future opportunities to strengthen the Ryan White HIV/AIDS dental programs;
-
Better understand the unique oral health needs of people living with HIV/AIDS; and
-
Identify the role academic dental institutions play in providing dental care to the HIV/AIDS community, training dental professionals and coordinating with primary care services.
Register today and join the conversation on @adeaweb using #RyanWhiteDental.
