Students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) with plans to transfer to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to pursue study in an allied health specialty will have an easier transition under a new 2+2 agreement.

Under the agreement, UA Little Rock students with plans transfer to UAMS to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene and other fields will have a clearer understanding of course requirements for their program of choice. The agreement has the potential for saving students time and money because they will know exactly what courses need to be completed at UA Little Rock, and the coursework required for completion for their desired program.

Seven degree programs in which transfer options are available include a BS in Ophthalmic Medical Technology; BS in Radiologic Imaging Sciences; BS in Cytotechnology (1 year); BS in Nuclear Medicine Imaging Sciences (1 year) — and online; BS in Respiratory Care; BS in Medical Laboratory Sciences, and BS in Dental Hygiene.
