Montana Gov. Steve Bullock is proposing to set aside $4.25 million in the 2019 budget to expand Great Falls College Montana State University’s dental hygienist program.

If approved, the funds would cover construction costs for a 10,000-square-foot addition to the campus to accommodate more students. The new space will create lab and clinic space, as well as 10 new operatories. According to college officials, the expansion would allow the dental hygiene program to accept 26 students a year instead of 18.
