Did you know, 26.6% of Minnesotans are without dental insurance and 39% of children in low-income households haven’t seen an oral health professional in the past year? Speakers and panelists will address these topics and more during the Minnesota Dental Association’s Oral Health Summit, at the North Metro Event Center in Shoreview, Minnesota, on October 5.

Health industry leaders and subject matter experts will gather at this inaugural event to discuss key issues related to oral health, dentistry, and public health. A keynote address, educational presentations, and a panel discussion are planned for the free 1-day summit. A variety of topics are on the agenda, including dental economics and trends, collaborative dental hygiene, varying practice models, the addition of an oral health benefit to Medicare, and PGY1 as a pathway to licensure.
