Academic Awards Support the Education of the Next Generation of Dental Hygienists

MELVILLE, N.Y., June 16, 2016 – Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC) presented five Farmingdale State College dental hygiene students with $500 Henry Schein Academic Awards during the school’s recent Department of Dental Hygiene Pinning and Awards Ceremony.
Maureen Knott, Vice President, Product Advertising and Marketing for Henry Schein, presented the students with the awards, three of which went to students earning their associate degree and two to students earning their bachelor’s degree.
“Dental hygienists play a critical role in delivering quality care and are an integral part of successful dental practices,” Ms. Knott said. “Henry Schein is proud to support this next generation of dental hygienists as they pursue their education and work towards a career of helping patients maintain beautiful smiles and their oral and overall health”
Ms. Knott is a member of Farmingdale College Foundation’s Board of Directors. In this role, she helps support the Foundation’s efforts to raise awareness of the important role of the dental hygienist.
