Eccentric Florida Dentist Aims for Guinness World Record

Mike J. Foley, DMD, is not your run-of-the-mill dentist. The Tampa Bay, Florida dental provider has what one may call peculiar hobbies. Foley has been highlighted by Ripley’s Believe It or Not Magazine for a fully functioning denture he created with shark teeth and a faux tooth he designed to hold a cyanide pill à la James Bond. Now the eccentric dentist is hoping to surpass the Guinness World Record for pulling a 2,000-lb car nearly 100 feet with his teeth; the current record is 18.5 seconds. At this juncture in his training, Foley can complete the feat, using a custom-made mouthpiece, in 30 seconds. Click here to read more about Foley’s love of oddities.
