Unlocking the Forensic Power of Dental Records

Brenda Bradshaw, BSDH, MS, RDH, is an assistant professor in the Gene W. Hirschfeld School of Dental Hygiene at ODU. Her research interests include disaster preparedness and response as it relates to the dental hygiene profession with special focus on disaster victim identification through forensic odontology.

Marsha A. Voelker, CDA, RDH, MS, is an assistant professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in the Division of Dental Hygiene where she teaches a broad range of classes and facilitates the forensic dentistry practicum. She also works part-time in a private practice in Lexington, Mo. Her research interests include dental biomaterials, motivational interviewing, and forensic dentistry. She is a member of the DMORT VII.

Amber D. Riley, MS, RDH, FAAFS, FIACME, CMCPS, is a forensic dental consultant to the San Diego County Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in California. She is president of the American Society of Forensic Odontology. A fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners, Riley is an internationally recognized speaker providing continuing education programs for dental and medical professionals covering oral and systemic pathologies, forensic odontology, and the use and misuse of therapeutic and illicit substances.
