Anahita Mortazavi, BSND, BSDH, RDH, MEd, is an assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. In 2022, she received the Lorna J. Bruning Award for outstanding teaching. Mortazavi has presented at the Greater Houston Dental Hygienists’ Association and Shine MD Academy of Health Science Education. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, American Dental Education Association, Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas, and American Academy of Laser Dentistry.
