EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After reading this course, the participant should be able to:
- Compare the radiation dosage of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) with other sources of radiation.
- Discuss the evidence surrounding the routine use of CBCT for the diagnosis and treatment of common periodontal defects.
- Note how CBCT helps identify the presence of combined periodontal-endodontic pathology.
