Vital pulp therapy can be a useful option for treating severe caries in primary molars.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss the factors involved in pulpal diagnosis in primary teeth.
  2. In primary molars, compare and contrast pulpotomy with indirect pulp treatment.
  3. Identify the essential components of an ideal restoration for primary molars for which vital pulp therapy has been performed.
