- Explain the roles of subgingival calculus and biofilm in persistent periodontal inflammation.
- Discuss the limits to traditional, blind scaling and root planing (SRP).
- Identify determination criteria and approaches to therapy for sites that fail to respond adequately to traditional, blind SRP.
