Denise Kissell, BSDH, EFDA, MPH, is an associate clinical professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in Columbus where she teaches dental hygiene and expanded functions dental auxiliary students. She is course director for pre-clinic and dental materials in addition to directing the Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Continuing Education Program.Kissell can be reached at: kissell.22@osu.edu.


Denise M. Messina, MDH, BS, RDH, is an assistant clinical professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at the OSU College of Dentistry where is course director for oral radiography, oral histology, care for patients with special needs, practice management, and contemporary issues in dental hygiene. She is also the faculty advisor for OSU’s student chapter of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.
