CDC Relaxes Outdoor Mask Guidelines

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced a relaxation for mask use outdoors among those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 on April 27. The new guidelines suggest that those who are fully vaccinated need not wear a mask when walking, running, or biking outdoors while alone nor are masks necessary when this population socializes outdoors with small groups. Fully vaccinated Americans can also go maskless when dining outside. The CDC does recommend that all Americans—vaccinated or not—wear masks when attending large outdoor gatherings such as sporting events. Overall, the CDC states the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission is low while outside. Click here to read.
