Nina E. Karhinen, RDH, BSDH, has been practicing clinical dental hygiene for more than 20 years. She is a didactic and first and second year clinical lead instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department at Bellingham Technical College in Bellingham, Washington. She is a past-president of her local component and a student in the graduate dental hygiene program at Idaho State University in Pocatello.
