Maria Perno Goldie, RDH, BA, MS, is a professional member of the National Speakers Association and a former president of both the International Federation of Dental Hygienists and the American Dental Hygienists' Association. She is also a visiting faculty member at the University of Rome and the University of Pisa in Italy. Perno Goldie has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles and is the co-editor of a dental hygiene textbook.
