Jamie L. Bishop, RDH, BSDH, MDH, is an assistant clinical professor at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Dentistry in Columbus where she teaches undergraduate dental hygiene students, degree-completion students, and graduate dental hygiene students. She has served as course director for multiple courses, including periodontology, scientific inquiry, oral pathology, leadership in the field of dental hygiene, and the education specialization series of courses. Maintaining a commitment to clinical practice, Bishop also provides patient care 1 day per week at the OSU Dental Faculty Practice. Additionally, she spent 16 years as a practicing dental hygienist in both general and periodontal practice, which informs her teaching, research, and mentorship.
