Cynthia J. Howard, RDH, BS, MS, CCRC, is an adjunct assistant professor in the Dental Hygiene Unit of the Allied Health Department at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College, where she provides dental hygiene clinical instruction. She is also an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the Dental Hygiene Programs at New York University College of Dentistry in New York, where her teaching responsibilities include preclinic and dental materials lab. She has been a dental hygiene educator for more than 25 years and has worked as a dental hygienist in research, general, periodontal, and public-health settings.
