ADA Golden Apple Awards Recognize Success of Dental Societies

Entries accepted May 1 through June 1

CHICAGO, March 19, 2015 – Now in its 27th year, the American Dental Association (ADA) Golden Apple Awardsshine the spotlight on the most innovative and engaging oral health programs and activities from dental societies across the country. Two new categories, “Excellence in Interprofessional Education” and “Excellence in Interprofessional Relations,” bring the total to fourteen categories in this prestigious awards program

In honor of Dr. David McCarley, the “Outstanding Achievement in the Promotion of Dental Ethics” award is now renamed “Dr. David H. McCarley Golden Apple Award for Excellence in the Promotion of Dental Ethics.” Dr. McCarley was the president of the Texas Dental Association at the time of his passing in January 2015. He also previously served on the ADA Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs (2008-2012) and was a past member of the Texas Dental Association’s Council on Constitution and Bylaws.

State and local dental societies are encouraged to submit electronic entries between May 1 and June 1 in any and all of the categories listed in full at ada.org/goldenapple.
