KaVo Kerr Group Director of Industry Relations embraces new platform to engage
and inspire dental community
(September 26, 2014) Candy Ross, Director of Industry and Professional Relations, Dental Technologies,
North America for KaVo Kerr Group, was elected Vice President of Grants of the ADA Foundation (ADAF)
Executive Committee during the ADAF board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16. She’s served on the Board of
Directors for the ADAF for the last year and a half.
During her tenure in the dental industry, Candy Ross, RDH, has established herself as a person of integrity,
compassion and fierce commitment to connecting people and products to projects that help provide better
access to care and improved oral health to women, men and children in need. In her role with KaVo Kerr
Group she actively seeks out partnership opportunities, maintains relationships with industry thought
leaders and associations, drives continuing education and acts as a liaison with philanthropic dental
organizations such as Give Kids a Smile, Mission of Mercy, Team Smile and more.
“I am humbled by the opportunity to serve in this way with the ADA Foundation,” Ross said. “I’ve seen the
remarkable results that can be achieved when we get resources into the hands of dental professionals who
want to make a difference. To work with grant disbursement at this level is very exciting.”
Described as “dentistry’s premier philanthropic and charitable organization,” the ADAF is active in providing
educational grants, including dental student scholarships and affiliated dental scholarships; a variety of
grants related to access to care and oral health outreach, including grants related to Give Kids A Smile®;
and charitable assistance through its Disaster Assistance Grant Program and Relief Grant Program. The
ADAF also provides funding for the Dr. Anthony Volpe Research Center (formerly the Paffenbarger Research
Center) in Gaithersburg, MD. For more information about the ADAF, visit www.adafoundation.org.
