SEATTLE, March 19, 2013 — During the Opening Session
of the 2013 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition on March 17, the American
Dental Education Association (ADEA) named Pamella P. Shaw, D.M.D.,
Ph.D., the seventh ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive Co./National Dental
Association (NDA) Jeanne C. Sinkford Scholar in the ADEA Leadership
Institute.
Dr. Shaw is Associate Dean in the Office of Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. She will be
provided a scholarship to the ADEA Leadership Institute, a year-long
program designed to develop the nation’s most promising individuals at
academic dental institutions to become future leaders in dental and
higher education.
“Colgate is pleased to join ADEA and the NDA in supporting this award.
Our contribution to this scholarship and our ongoing support of ADEA
and the NDA represent our dedication to the future of dental education.
We congratulate Dr. Shaw, and wish her the best of luck in her
endeavors,” says Barbara Shearer, B.D.S., M.D.S., Ph.D., Director of
Scientific Affairs at the Colgate-Palmolive Company.
Each year the ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive Co./NDA Jeanne C. Sinkford

closely aligned with the promotion of equity and diversity to
participate in the ADEA Leadership Institute. Jeanne C. Sinkford,

“ADEA is proud to have the support of the Colgate-Palmolive Company and
the National Dental Association to provide Dr. Shaw with the
opportunity to participate in the ADEA Leadership Institute, and to aid
in her service to minority women and men hoping to become dental
