
COVID-19 Vaccinations Reduce Risk of Long-Term Symptoms
A United Kingdom-based review of the literature has found that individuals who are vaccinated against COVID-19 are at lower risk for lingering COVID-19 symptoms than those who are not vaccinated. Six studies demonstrated that even one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before becoming infected with SARS-CoV-2 was helpful in reducing the likelihood of long COVID. Those who already had long COVID-19 and then became vaccinated also saw a reduction in their symptoms. While more research is needed to better understand this relationship, researchers suggest that a heightened immune response may be behind long COVID. Click here to read more.
