PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED TO PROMOTE LEADERSHIP
IN DENTAL EDUCATION
Washington, DC-Three leading oral health promotion organizations announced today the creation of a partnership to expand leadership development for the nation’s dental educators. Oral Health America (OHA), the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), and the William J. Gies Foundation for the Advancement of Dentistry of the American Dental Education Association (ADEAGies Foundation), are collaborating in a new effort to advance leadership in dental, allied dental, and advanced dental education. The collaboration involves the exchange of funds and a mutual commitment to promote leadership in dental, allied dental, and advanced dental education.
The ADEAGies Foundation will receive funds of the George H. Whiteley Memorial Foundation, DENTSPLY International, Inc., and the Beauchamp Estate, which OHA administers. The ADEAGies Foundation will direct the use of these monies to advance the dental educators’ leadership growth.

Pamela Zarkowski, Chair of the ADEAGies Foundation Board of Trustees, commented, “ADEA has several superior leadership development programs in operation and is well positioned now to increase their scope. This exciting agreement allows the ADEAGies Foundation to help ADEA perfect and promote its leadership programs, which will have a profound effect on the nation’s oral health care.”
