
More Than 90% of Dentists Have Sought Financial Help Due to COVID-19
According to American Dental Association Health Policy Institute polling data, nine out of 10 dentists have requested financial assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with most reporting receiving requested assistance. Completed the week of September 7, poll results showed that financial help was most often requested from the Paycheck Protection Program, Provider Relief Fund, and Emergency Economic Injury Disaster Loans, which are part of the federal government’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Dentists who did not seek assistance cited no knowledge of such programs and a belief they were not eligible as reasons for not applying. Read more here.
