Dental Hygienist Is an Infection Control Hero

Did you know that a dental hygienist coauthored the “bible” of infection control for oral health professionals? Kathy J. Eklund, RDH, MHP, contributed to the CDC’s Guidelines for Infection Control In Dental Health-Care Settings—2003. Kathy is also the director of occupational health and safety at the Forsyth Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a longtime and active member of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP).
