TRIDENT SUPPORTS ORAL HEALTH AMERICA’S FALL FOR SMILES CAMPAIGN WITH SUGAR-FREE GUM DONATION

CHICAGO, November 10, 2014 – Throughout September and October, Oral Health America’s (OHA) Fall for Smiles campaign spread the message of the importance of oral health, encouraging all Americans to brush and floss daily, regularly visit the dentist, eat healthy foods and avoid tobacco products. Trident supported these efforts by generously donating sugar-free gum that was then distributed by OHA.

“Sugar-free gum is a great tooth-friendly treat that positively impacts mouths by reducing in the occurrence of cavities as well as increasing saliva production to rinse away food particles,” said OHA President and CEO Beth Truett. “We are grateful for Trident’s generous donation of sugar-free gum and their support of our Fall for Smiles campaign.”

Trident has been a longtime supporter of OHA, providing funding for OHA’s Smiles Across America® (SAA) program for the past 10 years. SAA educates children year-round about the importance of oral health and reaches 440,000 children annually with needed care in school-based and school-linked settings.
