TeamSmile’s event at Arrowhead Stadium will celebrate the third annual “Kansas City Oral Health Care Day” where volunteer dentists will provide free dental screenings and treatment to 300+ underserved children from local charities, and for the first time ever, part of the event is open to the general public. TeamSmile’s “Kansas City Oral Health Care Day” is Saturday, September 13, 2008, 8am – 5pm; general public event: 1pm to 5pm, located at Kansas City Chiefs Practice Field at Arrowhead Stadium, inside Gate 5 off Raytown Road.
Sponsored in part by MetLife, the TeamSmile event was created by Dr. Bill Busch, a long-time Kansas City resident and dentist, to provide dental care and education to children who may not otherwise have access to oral health services. There will be entertainment and special sports figure appearances including Kansas City Royals legend Willie Wilson and Kansas City Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt.
