
The Number of COVID-19-Related Deaths in the US Surpasses 1 Million
After 2½ years of grappling with a global pandemic, the United States has reached a sobering milestone: more than 1 million Americans are dead due to COVID-19. The 1 million mark was reached on May 16. Of those deaths, 75% were Americans age 65 and older. The US has the highest number of COVID-19-related deaths in the world. Currently, about 300 Americans succumb to the novel coronavirus each day compared to 3,400 per day in January 2021. Click here to read more.
