
Program Allows Military Working Dogs to Receive Dental Care
Dental care is not only important for humans but also for our canine friends. Now dogs tasked with important roles in the United States Military —from bomb sniffing to protecting their service members — will receive the dental care they need to stay healthy. Through a partnership between the 60th Dental Squadron and the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, military dentists receive training on how to provide dental care to dogs, so the animals are in tip-top shape when their human counterparts need them.
