Private Dental School in NC Receives CODA Accreditation

On August 24, North Carolina’s only private dental school achieved a significant milestone, receiving initial accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). High Point University (HPU) will officially open the Workman School of Dental Medicine to the inaugural class in the fall of 2024. The university has already received more than 1,000 applications. One of the distinguishing features of HPU’s dental education is HPU Health LLC, a network of dental practices owned and operated by the university. These practices are already serving patients in locations across the state, including Chapel Hill, Greensboro, and High Point.
