Beaumont, Texas – July 24, 2006 – PerioPal, LLC today previewed the next major release of its powerful periodontal software designed to make recording a periodontal exam easier and faster. PerioPal is a patent pending verbal software tool, allowing hands-free periodontal charting. With PerioPal, the user can verbally record, chart, store and report a periodontal exam as it occurs, dramatically resolving the clinical challenges of traditional periodontal charting as well as increasing office productivity. PerioPal records periodontal exams with the Universal Numbering System and the FDI World Dental Federation System.
Version 6.2 offers new features to integrate with Practice Management Systems. PerioPal 6.2 is prepackaged with DataGrabber, a Windows System application from Apteryx Inc. that bridges patient data from the dental system to PerioPal. This feature eliminates the practice of entering patient information in different programs. Now the clinician can be in one system, press a button, and open all the features of PerioPal.
Another new feature is the PerioPal Viewer, which allows all workstations on a Windows network to view or print PerioPal reports. Comprehensive reports are automatically converted to PDF files and stored on a shared network drive allowing multiple PC’s to share data. This greatly simplifies claim processing and the back-up process.
