Latest software release offers eBusiness tools for optimal efficiency
ST. PAUL, Minn. – (Sept. 20, 2007) – Patterson Dental Supply, Inc. announces the release of Patterson EagleSoft Version 14.00, the latest version of leading clinical and practice management software. Featuring a variety of new and enhanced electronic business tools, Patterson EagleSoft Version 14.00 equips users with the means to work smarter and increase productivity.
New to the latest release of Patterson EagleSoft is the eReminders feature, which allows users to send appointment reminders to patients through a variety of communication channels, including e-mail, phone calls, and/or text messages. Patterson EagleSoft Version 14.00 also features Electronic Remittance Advice (eRA), an electronic version of the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) form. Using eRA, users can quickly and easily submit forms to insurance companies electronically and track payment information.

New Features in Patterson EagleSoft Version 14.00
• eReminders – The eReminders tool uses an automated service to send outbound messaging through phone calls, e-mails and/or text messages that remind patients about upcoming appointments. This feature automatically updates confirmations in Patterson EagleSoft to reduce “no-shows,” and allow patients to electronically confirm their appointments.
• eRA – eRA replaces the existing printed and mailed EOB forms received from insurance companies and allows for faster check posting in Patterson EagleSoft. Dental practices can now know in advance the claims that have been paid and the payment amount by using eRAs.
• Improved Security – Over 700 different security items are available to be grouped into security zones, and can be either blocked or allowed for each individual provider. Security profiles and settings also can be assigned to staff positions, individual staff members or providers.
• Updated Appointment Display and Tracking – Users can now assign new icons to each appointment to indicate unique descriptions, such as patient confirmations, preferences and notes. The latest reporting capabilities also enable users to track an individual patient’s arrival time, time spent in the waiting room, and length of the appointment.
