Organizations Collaborate to Better Understand Medicaid Adult Dental Coverage

A collaboration among CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, American Dental Association Health Policy Institute, Center for Health Care Strategies Inc, and National Academy of State Health Policy has created a new tool to analyze the range and effectiveness of Medicaid adult dental benefits on a state-by-state basis. Designed for legislators, leaders, and advocates, the Medicaid Adult Dental Coverage Checker details the status of dental coverage under state Medicaid programs—which may range from no coverage at all to the provision of full benefits—to help decision makers understand how to improve access to oral healthcare for their most vulnerable populations.
