September 29, 2006 (RENO, Nev.) – Microflex Corporation, a leader in the development and marketing of disposable examination gloves, has reaffirmed its commitment to its latex customer base by continuing to manufacture, market, and sell latex gloves, preferred by many healthcare professionals because of their superior feel and infection control capabilities.
As part of this commitment, Microflex has developed programs that ensure address glove users’ latex needs are met, in light of recent industry developments including companies that are exiting the latex glove business. It is expected that there will be a strong and continued customer demand for latex gloves, and these expected market conditions are already being addressed by Microflex.
“We are committed to providing glove users with choices, and we will not abandon our plans to serve the users who prefer latex gloves,” said Karin Wennerstrom, Director of Marketing at Microflex. “With latex prices becoming more manageable, we feel strongly that we can continue to be a leader in the latex market and are aggressively working to further cultivate our position though supply chain and marketing initiatives.”
Microflex has also announced that it has bolstered its latex glove manufacturing capabilities, in preparation for any market surge in user demand. Over 70% of glove users currently use latex products, and there has only been moderate growth in the use of synthetic products, such as nitrile and vinyl.
