May 11 Marks the End of the National Emergency Declaration for COVID-19

The United States federal government will sunset the national emergency declaration for COVID-19 that has been in place since March 20, 2020. The public health emergency designation will also come to an end. The termination of the emergency statutes means the ability of oral health providers to administer COVID-19 vaccinations may cease, depending on state licensing laws. State Medicaid programs also received additional funding under the emergency declaration.
